MSU Class Sign-up Information

Registration is now available for the MSU Intro to Tango series! This six-week course will provide a solid introduction to the basic elements, style, and movements of Argentine Tango. Connection, musicality, positive leader-follower dynamics, and basic tango vocabulary will be taught, with each lesson building on the previous. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation upon which more advanced instruction and practice can be built, and should feel confident to explore social dance and intensive instructional opportunities in the community.

2011 New Year's Eve Milonga in Helena, MT

A timed playlist for the 2011 New Year's Eve Milonga, hosted by Tango Helena.

It's roughly 50/50 Golden Age and Alternative music, with the Golden Age music weighted towards the front. I focussed on making every song as danceable as possible, and it seemed to be a success. The dance floor was crowded for the entire night.

MSU Class

Katherine and I will be teaching a 6-week Intro to Argentine Tango course at Montana State University in the spring. The class will be taught through the gym, but MSU gym membership is not necessary. More information to follow.

New Site

The new Bozeman Tango website is live. It's not finished, but the information here is going to be more up-to-date than the static page I had up before. I'll be working on it and polishing things up over the next few weeks.

October Milonga Playlist

Playlist for our October/Halloween Monthly Milonga. Spooky cortinas stolen from somewhere on the internet, and an Iron DJ requirement of mixing in Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Britney Spears. Other than that, I used pretty even mix of alternative and classical tandas with a standard TTVTTM rotation.

September Milonga Playlist

Playlist for our September Monthly Milonga. Half alternative, half classical. No special theme for the cortinas.
